Fontasso
Delivering an AI first FontBook for iOS
The challenge for designers: getting a clear view of the fonts already on their iOS device, and an easy way to install more. It was also a chance to explore an agentic SDLC — learning how to get the most from an AI agent, letting it fill in the gaps where taste mattered less, and stepping in myself where expertise needed to lead.
Fontasso lets you see what's already on your device, and browse, install and use additional fonts — from Apple, fonts you already own, or Google Fonts. It's a simple, fast and free app that makes it easy to find the perfect font for your next project, built with Claude Code to build, Figma to design, and my own business case, user conversations and coding-standard review to keep the output credible.

One deliberate call: I ran two LLMs in parallel rather than one — one iterating the code, a second scrutinising what was being delivered — backed by manual testing to validate that both my assumptions and the LLMs' held true. Slower per feature, but it caught issues a single-model loop would have missed.
A shipped, working iOS app, and a clear lesson on AI-first delivery: a robust product design, management, strategy and coding approach is still essential to building something credible — every aspect needs scrutiny, and there are no shortcuts.
